Research Grants

As part of the business activities stipulated in Article 4, Item 1 of the Articles of Incorporation of the Japan Association of Private Colleges of Nursing, we offer the following three research grant programs to foster nursing researchers and encourage their further improvement and development.

Each member school may apply for one grant. In addition, each member may apply for one grant.

subject (of taxation, etc.)

Full-time faculty members at member institutions ^※ Who published original research papers in English in international academic journals, academic society journals, or specialized journals (excluding proceedings) between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, thereby contributing to nursing research. In the case of collaborative research, the applicant must be the first author.

• Regular faculty members are full-time faculty members and fixed-term faculty members who work at least 5 days per week.

The winner of this award will receive a certificate and an additional prize of 100,000 yen.

Please submit one copy of the "Application Form," one copy of the dissertation, and one copy of the "Letter of Recommendation" from your supervisor (seal on the letter of recommendation is not required).

criterion (criteria) for selection

The three selection criteria are scored as follows: Excellent: 2 points, Normal: 1 point, and Almost: 0 point.

Selection criteria items: (1) Originality, (2) Contribution to nursing science, (3) Development of research

Report

The abstract (Japanese summary) of the paper awarded the Nursing Research Encouragement Award shall be promptly submitted to the President of this organization. The abstract (Japanese summary) will be published in this organization's newsletter.

Full-time faculty members at member institutions ^※ Applicants must be full-time faculty members at member institutions and meet the following requirements. However, individuals who have already received funding from another institution for the same research project, or who have been selected for this grant within the past three years, are ineligible. In the case of collaborative research, the applicant must be the principal investigator.

1. lecturers, assistant professors, and research assistants with a researcher number who are under 45 years of age at the time of application.
2. be able to present their research results at seminars organized by the Institute.

subsidy

The maximum amount is 500,000 yen per case; any balance of more than 1,000 yen shall be refunded.

The six selection criteria will be scored as follows: excellent: 2 points, normal: 1 point, and almost: 0 point.

Selection criteria: (1) appropriateness of the research purpose (contribution to nursing science, significance of the research), (2) appropriateness of the research method, (3) originality, (4) feasibility of the research plan, (5) appropriateness of research expenses, (6) readiness

Report

Recipients of the Young Researchers Research Grant must submit the research results report and financial report (including copies of receipts and other payment details) for the funded research (report format is unrestricted) to the President of this Corporation by March 31, 2028.Research findings shall be presented at a seminar hosted by this organization in fiscal year 2028. Abstracts of the research findings will be posted on this association's website for one month, with security measures implemented to prevent printing and editing.

Full-time faculty members at member institutions ^※ This includes individuals who have presented or plan to present at an international conference held between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027 (even if abstract submission has not yet opened, those planning to present are eligible).

• Regular faculty members are full-time faculty members and fixed-term faculty members who work at least 5 days per week.

Application Documents

Please submit one copy of the "Abstract of the paper presented at the international conference" (English and Japanese), one copy of the "Summary of the participating conference and significance of the presentation" and one copy of the "Letter of Recommendation" from the head of your organization, together with a copy of the notice of acceptance for the conference presentation or a copy of your abstract registration (seal on the recommendation form is not required). If you do not have a copy of the acceptance letter at the time of application, please submit it at a later date.

Recipients of international conference presentation grants must promptly submit the following to the President of this organization: documentation proving attendance, a financial report (including copies of receipts or other payment details), and a paper abstract (Japanese summary). The paper abstract (Japanese summary) will be published in this organization's newsletter.
