Research Grants

As part of the business activities stipulated in Article 4, Item 1 of the Articles of Incorporation of the Japan Association of Private Colleges of Nursing, we offer the following three research grant programs to foster nursing researchers and encourage their further improvement and development.

Main teaching staff of member schools ^{The following is a list of the members who have contributed to nursing research} who have contributed to nursing research by publishing an original paper or other work in English in an international academic journal or a journal of an academic organization or a professional journal between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024. In the case of joint research, the applicant must be the first author.

• Regular faculty members are full-time faculty members and fixed-term faculty members who work at least 5 days per week.

Approx. 20 cases

The winner of this award will receive a certificate and an additional prize of 100,000 yen.

criterion (criteria) for selection

The three selection criteria are scored as follows: Excellent: 2 points, Normal: 1 point, and Almost: 0 point.

Selection criteria items: (1) Originality, (2) Contribution to nursing science, (3) Development of research

Please submit one copy of the "Application Form," one copy of the dissertation, and one copy of the "Letter of Recommendation" from your supervisor (seal on the letter of recommendation is not required).

Main teaching staff of member schools ^{The following are the requirements for the program.} and who meet the following requirements. However, if the same research project has already been funded by another institution, the applicant is not eligible for the grant. In the case of joint research, the applicant must be the first researcher.

1. lecturers, assistant professors, and research assistants with a researcher number who are under 45 years of age at the time of application.
2. be enrolled at a member institution for at least two years from the time of application.

The maximum amount is 500,000 yen per case. Any remaining funds shall be refunded.

The six selection criteria will be scored as follows: excellent: 2 points, normal: 1 point, and a little more: 0 point.

Selection criteria: (1) appropriateness of the research purpose (contribution to nursing science, significance of the research), (2) appropriateness of the research method, (3) originality, (4) feasibility of the research plan, (5) appropriateness of research expenses, (6) readiness

Main teaching staff of member schools ^{Members who have presented or will present at an international conference between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025} who have presented or will present at an international conference held between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025 (even if abstract submission has not started, it is acceptable if you plan to present).

• Regular faculty members are full-time faculty members and fixed-term faculty members who work at least 5 days per week.

About 10 cases

The five selection criteria will be scored as follows: excellent: 2 points, normal: 1 point, and a little more: 0 point.

Selection criteria items: 1) Significance of presenting at an international conference, 2) Originality of presented research, 3) Contribution to nursing science,

Application Documents

Please submit one copy of the "Abstract of the paper presented at the international conference" (English and Japanese), one copy of the "Summary of the participating conference and significance of the presentation" and one copy of the "Letter of Recommendation" from the head of your organization, together with a copy of the notice of acceptance for the conference presentation or a copy of your abstract registration (seal on the recommendation form is not required). If you do not have a copy of the acceptance letter at the time of application, please submit it at a later date.
