FY 2026 Activity Plan
Holding training sessions
Theme: “Practical Approaches to Health Literacy Support for Foreign Patients”
Objective: To learn about the health literacy support necessary for foreign patients to appropriately utilize Japan’s medical and healthcare systems, and to deepen understanding of healthcare support that takes into account diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Additionally, through open discussion, participants will consider the challenges and appropriate approaches to nursing care for foreign patients, and use this as an opportunity to inform future nursing education.
Content: As opportunities to provide nursing care to foreign nationals are expected to increase in the future, this session aims to deepen participants’ understanding of healthcare support that takes diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds into account and to provide an opportunity to consider the roles expected of nurses.
